"Sheesh Dad! Look at the size of that tree!?" That was their first impression. No mention of the setting, the smile with which we were greeted, or the pleasant aroma of five star island luxury - just the huge tree and then ... "First to see the sea is the winner!!" and they're gone. My heart sank, I should've brought leashes - they're going to cause havoc around the hotel and we haven't even booked in yet. "Not to worry Sir," said the friendly concierge - "we welcome children with open arms here, they'll be no trouble for us at all." You don't know my kids I thought - but I was wrong. They DO know kids at Le Touessrok, what they like to eat, where they like to play and what they like to do. So much so that two days into our holiday I banned them from going to kids club because we weren't seeing them at all. What's a family holiday when you don't get to spend time with your overzealous children!? I hear someone murmuring "a REAL holiday!!" They'd rush off after breakfast (and what a breakfast!) only to return later on in the evening with tired smiles on their faces and more stories than they could remember to recount. Not even the delicious evening meal with more helpings of dessert than main course could keep them awake long enough to say "Can we watch TV?" We closed the door to our adjoining suite, after leaving the Baby in his cot to sleep in his brother and sister's room. "A bit like honeymoon isn't it?" I said to Jacqui ... we have this lavish room all to ourselves only a few strides away from the ocean, close enough to hear the azure water gently lapping on our pristine stretch of beach (that sounded soooo Top Billing-like!) Tomorrow morning they'll break the door down to get to us, but right now, the night belongs to us ... and there's plenty of tonight left. Michael Mol - Brand Ambassador
